Who Else Wants Free Targeted Traffic?
Many people believe that the internet is a get rich fast solution, and all they have to do is put up a website and they're guaranteed success. Nothing could be farther from the truth. You've heard the ol' saying if you build it they will come? We'll I hope you don't believe that because it isn't true, in fact if you do nothing at all no one will ever come not even the search engines, your site will be one of the thousands of ghost towns taking up space..
But don't despair I'm going to lay out some ways to revise your old ghost town and once you are finished reading this you will know exactly what to do to burn the web dust off your site..
Potential customers or visitors will come looking for you, but if they can't find you they will settle for your competitor. So you have to go and find them and draw a map to your site.
In order to succeed on-line you must be better than your competitor, you must get a better ranking, better link popularity, and more doorways leading to your site.. So you will need a much better marketing plan than your competitor.
One of the best things you can do is to write and submit articles. But, before you start writing articles, you should do a little research on how to write an on-line article for best results.
This way of marketing can be unbelievably effective if done right. Writing and submitting only one article wont do much for getting traffic to your website but if you stay consistent and submit at least 2-3 articles or more a week, you will be able to see great results as long as the article contains good content.
There is several great results that come from writing and submitting articles:
- It creates a one way link back to your site.
(The search engines loves one-way links and this is the fastest way of getting them) - It brings in targeted traffic.
(Traffic will come from the article directories and from other people picking it up and using it on their sites or newsletters) - It brands you as an expert in your niche.
(People will start seeing your name and articles all over the place and will start trusting you, if the content you provide is helpful and good content)
Another great resource is reciprocal linking, if done correct it can bring you tons of traffic for years to come. But you have to think out of the box on this one, instead of just doing the old style reciprocal linking why not take it to extremes?
For this one we will look for related sites and contact them an negotiate a deal, plan it out good though before contacting them, study their site make sure it is getting good traffic and it won't hurt to have a good pagerank.
Now for the email just really lay it on, let them know what you liked about their site and how you feel you both would benefit from a trade, but ask them if they are willing to make a page just for you with a little review of your site for a page with a review of their site, even go a step further and already have their review on your site and a pre made review of your site they can edit and add.
It should be two pages away from the home page, the first page will be sort of like a site map pointing to all your partners, you can even explain it to them so that they can benefit from this type of reciprocal linking strategy that is guaranteed to get results.
It may be a little more work but isn't your business worth the fantastic results you will receive? The old style works well also, you just have to make sure to only link to related sites and not just every site that requests..
Here is some extra tips for getting free traffic:
- Participate in forums related to your niche
(Help out in forums and leave your sig file) - Participate in blogs.
(You can comment on blogs and get you link out, just don't spam the blogs..) - Pay Per Click (PPC) programs.
(You can also sign up for some PPC programs like Google AdSense which would provide you with traffic)
There is all kinds of free strategies for getting traffic to your sites, you just have to put forth the effort and do it. Stick with it and you will start to see results, it's just a matter of time.
